Zharim Po-Gruzinski
Moscow
At a glance
Zharim Po-Gruzinski is a two-storey Georgian restaurant in central Moscow, set on Kamergerskiy pereulok between Tverskaya Street and the Bolshoi Theatre. Its interior combines a spacious, light-filled layout with colourful carpets, woven lampshades and large windows facing the Moscow Art Theatre named after Chekhov. The rooms have a decorative, informal character rather than a minimalist restaurant style.
The menu focuses on Georgian favourites in both traditional and more creative versions. Khinkali come in several varieties, while khachapuri is prepared with the restaurant’s own dough. Charcoal cooking is another central feature, with a wide selection of grilled meats. The menu is broad enough for shared meals, casual lunches and larger gatherings, with familiar Georgian dishes forming the main focus.
Drinks include Georgian wines alongside bottles from the Old World and New World. The upstairs Frida room has a bar counter where the team prepares more than 18 house infusions. Seasonal combinations give the drinks list a changing element, while the bar also supports a relaxed evening built around food, drinks and tabletop games. The restaurant presents these elements as part of the same social dining experience.
The second-floor Frida room also functions as a private event space for groups of up to 40 people. It can be arranged for banquets and other celebrations, making the restaurant suitable for birthday meals, group dinners and organised occasions. A large portrait of Frida Kahlo decorates one dining room, while traditional papakhas are available in another area for photographs.
Zharim Po-Gruzinski suits diners looking for a lively Georgian meal in a central setting, whether for a daytime business lunch, an evening with friends or a larger celebration. The restaurant serves daily from 12:00 to 00:00.
