The restaurant Turandot was opened on Tverskaya Boulevard in December 2005 , and immediately became a fashionable place and one of the main gastronomic and architectural attractions of Moscow. Turandot is as popular as the Kremlin, the Bolshoi Theatre and the Tretyakov Gallery. You can hear the name of the restaurant in the plays of Carlo Gozzi and Vakhtangov and the opera of Giacomo Puccini.
A large two-storied building, hiding behind the walls of a modest mansion was constructed over six years. The design of the restaurant is made in the style of the late Baroque 'Chinoiserie' (from French chinois, Chinese). The old French tapestries, English watches, eight existing fireplaces and crystal chandelier are in the spirit of the age of Louis the XIVth. Antique Venetian mirrors, German porcelain, wrought iron grilles of Tula armourers are also presented here. There is a bar of carved glass and metal, resembling a futuristic object or a piece of modern art in a restaurant.
On the ground floor of Turandot is a lounge area with very pleasant atmosphere, the second is a classic restaurant. You can book private rooms on both floors. A pan-Asian cuisine is represented in a menu of the restaurant. Traditional dishes are combined with the author's ideas.
Staying in one of the most fashionable places, Turandot constantly surprises its guests. It hosts jazz evenings, updated cocktail menu and offered a special menu.
