Glavpivtorg Beer Restaurant
Moscow
The Glavpivtorg is a centrally located restaurant, right on Lyubyanka Street, a stone throw away from the Red Square, the Bolshoy Theatre and other famous landmarks in Moscow. The restaurant’s interiors are reminiscent of a classic Soviet government office building, even more so with a view of the ex-KGB (now FSB) edifice.
The menu at the Glavpivtorg Beer Restaurant consists of a number of Russian dishes especially popular in Stalin’s soviet era. The traditional ‘Borsh’ (beetroot soup) and ‘Pelmeni’ (dumplings) are recommended and hearty dishes. The Glavpivtorg’s house speciality is the ‘Pressed Chicken’ and well worth a try.
If you are in the mood for a Soviet Era dining experience, some genuine traditional Russian food and relatively reasonable prices by Moscow’s standards, then the Glavpivtorg Beer Restaurant is an interesting choice.
