Directions to Baan Thai
The Baan Thai restaurant is located out of Moscow’s city centre but nevertheless a very popular restaurant with both Muscovites and foreigners. It opened its doors in the year 2000 and remains the top Thai cuisine restaurant in Moscow. Baan Thai means 'Thai House' and each visitor is actually welcomed with much respect and hospitality.
The interior is designed to transport the resturant guests to a sunny and exotic Thailand. Panels with views of Thailand's popular attractions are spread across Baan Thai’s walls and the restaurant has many local decorations and ornaments. The restaurant is actually reminiscent of a small local temple rather than a restaurant. The designers have truly accomplished their mission to create a venue that reflects the friendly and joyful Thai people, right on the streets of Moscow.
All the food served at the Baan Thai restaurant is genuine and traditional Thai cuisine. However, due the the very spicy nature of the cuisine, chefs have reduced the spiciness of dishes to suit European tastes – having said that, do feel free to request food to be served as it would be eaten in Thailand...the Chefs are very happy to oblige.
Lunch at Baan Thai is served from 12:00 to 16:00 hrs with 4 options to choose from (2 of which are vegeterian). Every business lunch consists of three courses. The restaurant is then open daily up to 24:00hrs and also provides free delivery of meals.
