Kaleidoscope is a multimedia gastro-theatre at Hotel National on Mokhovaya Street in Moscow. The venue combines a live visual production with a structured gastronomic set, creating an evening that links food, music, imagery and historical storytelling in one setting.
The main programme, titled “7 Wonders of the World”, follows a journey through famous architectural achievements and the cultures surrounding them. The experience moves from the pyramids of Giza to the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and the statue of Zeus, using projected imagery, sound and other stage elements to bring each chapter to life. Rather than presenting a conventional restaurant meal, Kaleidoscope frames dining as part of a theatrical narrative.
The menu is presented as seven dishes inspired by the cuisines of ancient peoples. Each course accompanies a section of the performance, so the food functions as part of the storytelling rather than as a separate meal. The format is designed for a complete evening programme lasting about two hours, with the historical theme carried through both the presentation and the menu.
The atmosphere is immersive and formal in concept, with the setting of a historic hotel providing a backdrop for a contemporary multimedia production. The combination of themed dining and visual spectacle makes the venue suitable for celebrations, date nights and occasions that call for an organised shared experience rather than a casual meal. The project also accepts private-event enquiries.
Kaleidoscope has a family-oriented format alongside the main show. “Le Petit Chef” is presented as a gastro-performance for children and parents, giving families a separate way to experience the venue’s combination of animation, food and theatrical presentation. Another listed format, “Night of Wonders”, is designed around celebrations such as anniversaries, birthdays and romantic evenings, with the show connected to an overnight experience at Hotel National.
The venue’s address places the experience in a central part of the city, while the programme itself remains focused on the meeting point between culinary themes, historical imagination and stage technology. Kaleidoscope is best suited to visitors seeking an event-led meal, couples planning a themed evening, families looking for a food-based performance, and groups arranging a private occasion.
