P'tit CREF 1905
P'titCREF 1905 emphasizes the importance of immersing children into other languages at a young age to increase language comprehension and to set a solid foundation for a child's future success in today's interconnected world.
Learning at P'titCREF occurs in a structured yet fun way, following a curriculum specifically developed by the center and refined over the past 13 years. Recognizing that each child is unique and learns in different ways, P'titCREF's curriculum integrates cognitive, physical and artistic activities to promote a faster grasp of the language.
Children at the center learn through games, songs, crafts and other interactive activities. The cozy atmosphere and personal care help nurture a family-like environment that makes the students feel at ease and more perceptive to absorbing new information.
Each class of no more than 12 students is taught by three native-speaking teachers of English, French and Russian and aided by an assistant. These small class sizes allow teachers to focus on each child individually; activity reports are prepared daily by the staff, addressing the child's progress in the language, as well as how well the child ate, slept and played.
Recognizing the importance of parental involvement in a child’s education, P'titCREF 1905 actively encourages families to participate in the child’s learning process. Each week, parents are sent newsletters outlining the week's lessons and suggestions for take-home activities. Families are also invited to attend various events throughout the year, such as Christmas and Halloween parties and celebrations of other traditional holidays.
P’titCREF 1905 boasts a bright and airy campus, full security, wholesome food and a friendly school nurse, providing a safe environment for the children and peace-of-mind for the parents. Furthermore, P’titCREF has helped ensure a smooth transition to primary school at a high level for many young graduates of the center.
A few places are still open for the 2016-2017 school year, which starts on September 1st. To learn more about the center and to schedule a personal tour, don’t hesitate to contact us.
