Directions to Yakhroma
Yakhroma park is in the green Moscow countryside 46 km from Moscow and takes 300 ha. It's a sports and adventure park which is open all year round in town Yakhroma. There are two hotels, three types of cottages, sauna and banya complexes, a spa centre as well as nine restaurants, bars and cafes with the wide range of dishes catering for all tastes.
Winter sports are nice to do there due to well prepared ski tracks, ice ranks and snowmobile routes. The park is proud of its unique attraction Tobogun, a thrilling sledging ride with steep turns on 850 m track at 60 km/h.
There are five ski tracks (from 350 to 650 m) from the easiest one for beginners to those with high difficulty for professionals, two tracks for tubing, one track for airboarding. All tracks are equipped with modern ski lifts, including baby lifts and well lit at night.
There is a rent point for skis and snowboards, equipment for rent is about 700-800 rubles per hour
So if you hesitate whether to go skiing/snowboarding in Russia or visit Moscow, don't overload yourself with bulky winter equipment: you can really kill two birds with one stone. Come to Moscow and have a weekend tour to the Moscow countryside park where there are so many ways to enjoy yourself on a sunny winter day.
However, the summer park in Yakhroma has also lots of activities: attractions, quadrocycles, golf, badminton, big tennis, cycling, rollerblading, mountainboards etc.
