Directions to Oceanarium
The Moscow Maritime Aquarium is a public Oceanarium and located on Chistye Prudy in the city centre; so it is very conveniently situated to visit. Fish of all shapes and sizes, sea urchins, starfish and other living creatures of the seas and oceans from all over the world can be seen here. The different types of marine life available on display and on sale literally run into the hundreds.
Guided tours of the Oceanarium are available and a great way to look deep into the ocean without leaving the city!
This massive aquarium in Moscow reproduces the natural habitat of its marine residents. Visiting the Oceanarium on Chistiye Prudy will transport you and your kids into the wonderful and fascinating world of the deep blue sea, away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre behind the attraction's walls.
The only one of its kind in Russia, a six metre aquarium reproduces the seabed in great detail. The marine life is vast - from a small marine worm to hairy fingers of coral swaying to the artificial current created by the aquarium. This is far better than the pages of any textbook and is a vivid illustration to children of the vast life that resides under the sea.
Entertaining and at the same time educational, this is a great way to spend some quality family time. A store located in the same venue is stocked with anything you might need to acquire and maintain for your own home aquarium. Tickets vary between 150-300 Rubles.
Monday - Friday: 10am - 8pm
