It is hard to imagine a writer having more impact on Russian literature than Alexander Pushkin. The greatest Russian writer moved in this beautiful blue building on Arbat Street after marriage with Natalya Goncharova. Happy couple lived in this house 5 months only: from December 1830 to May 1831.
The State A.S. Pushkin Museum was opened in 1957 and became one of the well-known Moscow cultural centers.
The impressive collection of thousand items, such as rare books, paintings, graphics and furniture, is presented in the museum and show the visitors the epoch of Alexander Pushkin.
This museum is also known as a centre for thematic exhibitions, concerts, performances that take place here regularly.
