Lumiere Brothers Gallery

Lumiere Brothers Photo Gallery is the first private gallery in Moscow focused only on the art of photography. The gallery's fund contains more than 6000 works, soviet photography of the 1930s-1980s making up most of the collection. Apart from that, the fund includes works by contemporary Russian and foreign artists.

Lumiere Brothers Gallery -- is a modern photography art centre where internationally recognized and well known photographers, as well as new talents, may exhibit their works. There are sometimes exhibitions devoted to the history of Russian photography which are fascinating to see. The gallery has its own collection of private photo masterpieces some of which are on sale.

You may find the gallery at the ex-confectionery factory 'Krasnuy Oktyabr' (Red October) together with cafés, the library and concert halls. Gallery space allows to display 400 photography works. There is a bookshop with professional photo art literature, posters, exclusive postcards and many other spots of interest. Poets and musicians also take part in centre cultural activities and these events have their own special name 'White Balance'.
