Inspired by a great success of the first Novikov Restaurant & Bar in London, the famous restaurateur Arkady Novikov decided to open the second one in Moscow. The Novikov Restaurant&Bar is perfectly located on the first floor of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel on the main street of the capital - Tverskaya, just near the Kremlin and the Red Square. As they say, good content is worth good form. The design was created by NB-Studio of Natalia Belonogova. The designers worked out the interior suitable for meetings for various reasons. The black walls of the main hall are in fine contrast with red and grey arm-chairs, wooden tables and the spectacular panoramic stain-glass wall-sized panel. The strict and well-balanced style is highlighted with massive metallic chandeliers, fresh flowers, glass vases, candles in the floor candle holders and huge roots of exotic relict trees. The kitchen entrance is decorated with a Chinese door of the 15
th century on both sides of which one can see 400-kg stone guarding warriors. Noticeable is a half-round bar counter made of black marble. It is separated from the open kitchen with fruit-n-vegetable stands and glass cases with life langoustines, lobsters, king prawns and king crabs and other sea creatures. The guests themselves can choose the ingredients for their dishes.
Apart from the main hall with capacity of 100 persons, there is a summer terrace with rattan furniture. The VIP-room with lots of wood, fireplace and big oval table is a fine place for business talks and negotiations. There’s a special rack for alcohol – each guest here can order a bottle of legendary whisky and enjoy it with his friends and business partners. There’s also a big collection of single-malt whiskey and other ritzy alcohol.
Inspired by Brand Chef Jeff Taylor, the Pan-Asian menu of Novikov Restaurant & Bar in Moscow is run by the Chef Andrei Rostov. Noteworthy are king crab tartare, black cod fish rolls, foie gras miso soup with truffle oil, sashimi, tempura monkfish, Peking roast duck, udon-noodle with rib-eye steak and many more. The restaurant focuses not only on the production method but also on the fresh ingredients and their unique origin – all the sea-products are delivered by plane from the famous Tokyo food market. For a dessert, the guests can enjoy delicious wild strawberry pies, sake jelly pears or apples in spiced caramel sauce. The bar offers plenty of cocktails and a great choice of wines, not to say about sake, 15 types of which are presented here. It is to note that the costs are in a wide range which enables to welcome and satisfy any customer.
