For example, there are such unusual dishes as pickled century eggs with ginger sauce or chicken marinated in sake. One can also find traditional dim sums as well as bluefin tuna in Chinese herb with pickled plums and BBQ eel with crispy cucumbers. Instead of wasabi shrimps already popular in Moscow Dmitry Zotov introduced crab claws with almond mayonnaise – it’s somewhat similar yet different and it makes you long for more.
In the main course noteworthy are Hainan-style black curry with chicken and vegetables (with addition of black miso sauce and black sesame seeds) and black pepper beef with Himalayan truffle. Tofu steak in curry sauce with vegetables and cashew, and Chinese broccoli with sesame sound very inviting for vegetarians. All meals are served on Kasper Würtz ceramics custom made specially for Madame Wong, and each plate varies in style and design. The wine and cocktail list is very rich. It is to mention a big choice of sake which surely deserves higher estimation in Russia.
Madame Wong restaurant with 130 seats capacity is located in The White Gardens business centre. The interior by a reputed designer Natalya Belonogova can be described in three words: symmetry, clarity, simplicity.
All in all, Madame Wong is indeed worth to include in the gastronomic outing plans. Why? Because what is offered there is savoury, thrilling and attractive, like a story of the legendary queen of pirates the restaurant is named after.
