Description

The departure from Sofia is at 8 am from your hotel. To the Struma River, you will have about 2 hours traveling on a highway. When you arrive there, you will be given the additional necessary safety equipment and you will be taken to the rafting area. The rafting itself continues for about 2 hours, and once again – there are traces with different difficulties, so it will be up to you which option to choose. Always, there will be a local instructor in your boat during the rafting! In the end, after you finish this amazing and emotional experience, you will have time for a deserved lunch break in some of the restaurants in the area. After that, you will continue to the Rila Monastery, about a 1-hour drive. It is one of the most preferred places to visit in the country, a UNESCO heritage site. At the monastery, you will have 1 hour to explore it. We will provide you with a free application with audio files for your smartphone, which you can use there to learn about its history and most interesting topics. Please have in mind that you will need an internet connection and headphones, in order to use them. In the afternoon, at about 5 pm you will head back to the city and you will reach Sofia at 7 pm. The rafting is done with highly professional local staff and under complete safety measures, so it is suitable for everyone and no previous experience is needed. The tour can be done during the weekends if you are 1-3 people.
