The Astrus Hotel, formerly the Central Tourist House, is a large modern hotel in the Troparevo-Nikulino green district of the city. (The hotel was renamed in February 2009.) The original hotel opened in 1980, and was built to host foreign tourists visiting the city for the Olympics. Currently, it welcomes business travelers with various amenities designed to provide them with a comfortable, productive stay. There is a European and a Chinese restaurant, a fitness centre and a bowling alley. The Vnukovo and Sheremetievo airports are about a 30-minute drive from the hotel.
