Entering the high fence of the famous Saints Martha and Mary Convent of Mercy, you will fall completely into another world - a world of peace and tranquility. Hear the history of the monastery, stories about the most famous sisters of mercy or you may just sit in the silence of the monastery garden, enjoying the sounds of nature. Then, walk along Tolmachevsky and Lavrushinsky Lanes. The final point of your tour will be a visit to the State Tretyakov Gallery. The art gallery is acknowledged as one of the most treasured cultural heritage establishments in the Russian Federation. Here, you will be able to see more than 1300 works of Russian art from the 11th till the early 20th century, beginning from pre-Mongolian icons and mosaics and ending with landscape, portrait and historical painting and masterpieces.
