Travel by metro to discover the beautiful stations and learn about the subways' significance during World War II. Arrive at the museum and marvel at one of the largest statues in Russia, the Monument to the Conquerors of Space. During your tour, explore the universe as seen from the perspective of the Soviets, while your guide shares a brief history of the Space Race and the struggle for Space dominance between the Soviet Union and the United States. Walk through the halls of the Air Space museum and see the space suit of Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space. Travel in time as you learn about the beginning of the space era, successful moon expeditions and the solar system. Then, head to VDNKh Park and soak in the atmosphere of the 1930’s U.S.S.R. Constructed in 1935 it is a perfect demonstration of the Soviet architectural style and takes its you back to the times of Joseph Stalin and Nikita Khrushev. At VDNKh, see a life size Vostok rocket and Buran Spacecraft.
