Epiphany Fest has become a winter tradition. This year the organizers chose rare plays by compositors of XX and XXI centuries as presented material. Different themes and problems are focused on. A 50 years old opera “The Passenger” by Moses Vineberg admired by Shostakovich opens the program and speaks about nazi death camps survivor. Spectacle-diptych “Dido” mixes the minimalistic “Dido. Prologue” and Barocco luxurious “Dido and Aeneas” into bizarre combination. Opera “Pushkin” by Constantine Boyarskiy reveals the contradictories between great Russian poet and imperator Nikolay.
