Auschwitz Album

Moscow

Wednesday 3 February to Sunday 3 April
Bolotnaya emb. 3, bld.1 Kropotkinskaya metro station Moscow Region Moscow
Lumiere Brothers Gallery

The Lumiere Brothers Center of Photography with the assistance of Czech center, Polish Cultural Center and Israel Embassy presents a unique collection of almost 200 photos taken in Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1944 and collected by an unknown CC officer. One of the survivors, Lily Jacob found this album at the day of release and kept it. This fact lets us witness the horror of concentration camp and the whole idea of Nazism – and never let it happen again, especially considering the tough situation in nowadays’ international politics.
